Dry-Water-Massage Therapy (DWM) |
Dry-Water-Massage Therapy is a water-massage table that combines all the traditional benefits of hydrotherapy with one unique difference--you never get wet! You simply lie back, completely clothed, and let the massaging action of the patented hydro-jets release your pain, stress or fatigue. The DWM provides a non-mechanical type of massage that penetrates deep into muscle tissue.
As the massage works a pressure point, the muscle tension yields to the pressure, enabling the fibers to elongate and relax, toxins to be released and blood to flow freely. Increased circulation brings more oxygen and other nutrients to affected areas. This increases the body's resistance to illness and promotes a longer, healthier, more vital life. DWM promotes wellness by combining the therapeutic benefits of floatation, heat and massage. FloatationThe body is suspended on a soft, water filled mattress to allow total muscle relaxation. While floating, the only movements that are required by the body are involuntary, promoting physical and mental relaxation.HeatThe water in the mattress is thermostatically controlled to maintain a temperature equal to the inner temperature of the human body. The heat soothes as it promotes increased circulation and relaxes fatigued or stressed muscles.MassageWater is pumped under pressure through a series of rotational hydro-jets inside the mattress. The jets rotate to create a mild traction effect on the muscle tissue. This action provides a non-mechanical type of massage that penetrates deep into muscle tissue.DWM Therapy can help relieve pain and discomfort. It is highly recommended as a therapeutic treatment for many ailments, including the following:
